FIFTEEN Muslim teens in Morocco who gang-raped a donkey have been hospitalized after catching rabies according to local Moroccan media.
The gang raping donkey gang, who allegedly sexually assaulted the donkey in the small rural town of Sidi Kamel, have been treated for rabies after they were mullered by the rabid mule.
They were treated at the Mechraa Belksiri Hospital for one week in August 2017 where the group received rabies vaccinations after the animal transmitted the disease to them.
The incident has put the families of these fifteen young people into distress and horror according to a local newspaper, and many families have taken their children out of the town to be vaccinated to avoid embarrassment.
Local authorities in the area are now on the hunt for further Donkey rapists, fearing that they could spread the disease across the town.
The incident has become the subject of mockery and ridicule among the population of the small town.
According to reports, the number of infections could be much higher, as some families preferred to take their children to hospitals outside the region to avoid humiliation.
The donkey in question has been killed, as local authorities feared the animal could be at further risk of spreading the disease.
